Cookie Policy

Last updated 16 October 2026

We keep cookies to the minimum needed to run SupaSwirl. Anything optional stays off unless you turn it on.

01What cookies are

Cookies and similar technologies (like your browser’s local storage) are small pieces of data a website saves on your device. We use them to keep you signed in, keep the site secure and remember your choices.

02Essential (always on)

These are needed for SupaSwirl to work and cannot be switched off:

NamePurposeDuration
__session, __client_uat, __clerk_… (Clerk)Keeps you signed in and protects your accountUntil you sign out, or up to 7 days of inactivity

supaswirl-project:… (local storage)Remembers the project you last worked in on this deviceUntil you switch back to Personal or clear site data

03Analytics (optional)

If you allow “Analytics”, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and features help people most. It loads only after you allow it, and stops (and its cookies are removed) if you change your mind. We do not use it for advertising: Google signals and ad personalisation are off. With the same permission we also use Ahrefs Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies, and Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, page changes) so we can fix confusing parts. Clarity never records what you type, and it sets its own cookies (_clck, _clsk), which are removed if you change your mind.

NamePurposeDuration
_ga, _ga_… (Google Analytics)Tells visits apart and keeps the session together, without identifying you by nameUp to 2 years

04Marketing (optional)

With your permission, an affiliate link can save the last referral click in an HTTP-only cookie for 60 days. We use it to credit an approved partner if you create a new account. You can decline this cookie and still use SupaSwirl; that visit will not earn the partner a referral.

NamePurposeDuration
sw_affiliateRemembers the last partner click after marketing consent60 days, or until consent is withdrawn

05Your choices

You can accept, reject or customise optional cookies when you first visit, and change your mind any time:

You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking essential storage will stop sign-in from working.
